A Notebook, a Pen and a Little Encouragement: HCF Reaches Children in Patna
On 15 June 2026, members of Harit Chetna Foundation visited a slum community near E-Block, Patna, for a Stationery and Food Refreshment Distribution Drive — supporting children with basic educational materials and direct community engagement.

Approximately 12 HCF members participated in the activity. The team included Foundation President Golu Kumar “Aniruddh”, Joint Secretary Vaishnavi Singh and other members of Harit Chetna Foundation.
During the initiative, more than 100 notebooks and pens were distributed among children. Along with the stationery, the team also handed out fruits and biscuit packets as refreshments.
Not just a hand-out, a conversation
The initiative was not simply about distributing materials. HCF members spent time with the children and families present in the area, talking with them and encouraging the importance of education, learning and opportunity. A notebook and a pen are small things on their own — but paired with a little encouragement, they can help a child feel that learning is meant for them too.

Activities like this are one small part of Harit Chetna Foundation's broader educational work. A single distribution does not, by itself, transform a child's education — but it can put basic learning resources in a child's hands, offer encouragement, and keep the Foundation in direct, ongoing contact with the communities it serves.
